Associate Professor of the Practice of Arts Administration 

Boston University Metropolitan College seeks to fill a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor of the Practice starting July 1, 2017, for the graduate program in Arts Administration (

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have expertise in the performing arts and an advanced degree(s) in one or more of the following areas: Theater, Music, Art History, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Cultural Policy, or Arts Administration, or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in arts administration; 3-5 years experience teaching at the university level and a national reputation in the field as either an artist/practitioner or scholar/researcher. We welcome applications from candidates with professional and industry experience in addition to the terminal degree.

Responsibilities: Faculty duties include teaching up to six courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels per academic year, conducting active research, participating in course and curriculum development, and mentoring part-time faculty and students, as well as providing service to the department, college and the university. This is a full-time non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Associate Professor of the Practice, with a 2-5 year renewable contract.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
