The College of Arts & Letters (CAL) at Michigan State University invites applications for the position of Program Director of Arts & Cultural Management and Museum Studies, tenure system (academic year appointment). The Arts & Cultural Management and Museum Studies Program includes two undergraduate minors and a two-year M.A. program. These programs are multidisciplinary degrees administered by the College of Arts & Letters that prepare students for positions related to the management and advocacy of arts and cultural organizations or industry dimensions of an artistic and humanistic entrepreneurial career. Students choose between concentrations in Management and Museum Studies. The Director will shape the curriculum of the Arts & Cultural Management and Museum Studies Program, significantly grow its online and hybrid course and program offerings, and deepen its ties to local, regional, and national arts communities. They will be the lead liaison between the Arts & Cultural Management and Museum Studies Program and other units on campus, including the MSU and CAL entrepreneurial initiatives, the Broad Art Museum, the Eli Broad College of Business, Wharton Center for Performing Arts, the MSU Museum, etc.

This appointment is expected to begin Fall 2019.
