Program Goals and Objectives

At the University of Oregon's (UO), programs of study in Arts & Cultural Leadership are embedded within the UO School of Planning, Public Policy and Management. Prospective graduate students are encouraged to apply to the Master of Nonprofit Management (MNM) degree program, within which they are able to pursue a concurrent Graduate Certificate in Arts Management. The formal, transcripted Graduate Certificate in Arts Management can also be completed as a stand-alone program of study, or be paired with other master's and doctoral degree programs (for example, music, theatre, dance, art, art history, community and regional planning, public administration, folklore). In addition, field of interest elective courses in Arts & Cultural Leadership are available to all University of Oregon graduate and undergraduate students across campus.
