Program Goals and Objectives
Our aim is to nurture experienced arts /cultural managers to be informed by an international outlook and to acquire the knowledge, skills, understanding and commitment to make arts and cultural enterprises more relevant to contemporary society.
The curriculum of the programme integrates non-profit arts and commercial cultiural enterpriises by bringing together salient aspects of arts management, arts engagement /education with cultural entrepreneurship.
Participants are required to complete 11 courses with 24-credit-point for graduation.
• Management and Leadership of Cultural Enterprises (Parts 1 and 2) (3 credits)
• Cultural Policy and Sustainability (1.5 credits)
• Marketing and Fundraising for Arts and Cultural Organizations (3 credits)
• Financial Management for Arts and Cultural Organizations (1.5 credits)
• Legal Issues for Arts and Cultural Enterprises (1.5 credits)
Arts and Culture-related
• The Creation, Dissemination and Critique of the Arts (1.5 credits)
• Case Study in Arts Management and Cultural Context(1.5 credits)@ ^

Research Methods in Arts Management (1.5 credits)
# Offered in conjunction with Goldsmiths, University of London. Lectures will take place in Hong Kong with incoming Professors from Goldsmiths, University of London.
@ Select one from two courses and the elective courses will be offered in alternate years.
^ This course is conducted as a 5-days study trip. Participants need to pay travel-related expenses of the trip (depending on the destination).
Have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in an arts discipline or a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, with evidence of active engagement in arts and cultural activities;
Have a minimum of five years of managerial experience; and
Be currently working in the cultural, creative and related industries;
Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution in a non-English speaking system should normally fulfil one of the following minimum English proficiency requirements:
IELTS 6.0; or
Grade C or above in GCSE / GCE OL English; or
a TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based test) or 80 (internet-based test) or 213 (computer-based test); or
Band 6 in the Chinese Mainland’s College English Test (CET) (a total score of no lower than 430 if the test was taken after June 2005); or
Other equivalent qualifications.

Application fee for local and non-local applicants is HK$150 and HK$300 respectively which is non-refundable and non-transferable unless the programme is cancelled by the Institute. Upon successful submission of application, you will receive an acknowledgement by e-mail.
