Jerre Brisky

Jerre Brisky, instructor and director of the UWF Center for Fine and Performing Arts, teaches Stage Management and Arts Administration.

For the past 25 years, Brisky has helped artists learn how to find success in the business side of the arts.

As director of the UWF Center for Fine and Performing Arts since 2006, he directs all non-academic activities – from marketing and communications to event and building management – at the center. He oversees up to 100 music and theatre performances, 10 art exhibitions and 50 community events every year. The center – which welcomes between 20,000 to 30,000 visitors each year – plays an important role in fostering arts and culture in the community. It also provides students across campus the opportunity to be exposed to the arts in a way many have never experienced.

Shortly after graduating from Auburn University, he landed his first job as an assistant business and company manager for George Street Playhouse in New Jersey. From there he developed diverse skills working as a talent agent in New York City, and as a marketing and managing director for theater companies in Atlanta, Georgia, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In addition to managing center activities, Brisky teaches stage management and arts administration, and oversees internships for students in the undergraduate interdisciplinary humanities degree in arts administration.
