| Abstract | This paper examines public interest advocacy. It focuses on a national coalition that formed in 2004 to support expansion of federal funding for the nation's network of archives. The paper examines past and current coalition building in the arts community as a successful model for public interest advocacy campaigning. It concludes with recommendations on how our artistic and cultural heritage communities can learn from each other in establishing and maintaining successful advocacy coalitions. | |
