The new AAAE web site, launched in April 2008, offers a twist on an old campaign promise: ''A chicken in every pot.'' But in this case, it's ''a blog for every member.''

Blogs, or ''weblogs'' as they're sometimes known, are places to post your insights, observations, commentary on articles and reports elsewhere on the web, and whatever else you'd like to share with your AAAE colleagues. Every user gets a blog on their account, which they can add to through the ''Add Content'' menu item on the left side of each page.

Hope some members find it useful and thought-provoking. I personally have found my own blogging an extraordinary way of clarifying my thoughts on trends and ideas in arts and culture, and of finding smart folks all over the world that share my curiosities and interests.

So, start your blog!
