Public Funding For The Arts In The Republic Of Korea

This study attempts to be the first comprehensive study on public funding for the arts in Korea. It aims to provide an analysis of key issues related to the subject in cultural, social, and political contexts and recommendations for those key issues. Key issues which are addressed in this study include cultural policy, the public funding framework which has considerable impact on the development and pursuit of arts funding in Korea, and the role of the public sector with a focus on the Korean Culture and Arts Foundation.
