Livestream Archive: Finding Adventurous New Audiences

AAAE Newsroom

On January 25, 2018, the 5th and final Wallace Foundation Student Forum on adventurous audience development was hosted by the University of Michigan featuring the University Musical Society. The live forum was viewable as a livestream and has been archived here.

The University Musical Society was awarded a four-year grant from The Wallace Foundation in 2015 to support audience building efforts for its Renegade performances. As part of this grant effort, UMS received significant support to conduct market research and, with WolfBrown, an internationally renowned arts research firm led by U-M alumnus Alan Brown, has developed a new tool to help measure adventurousness in its audiences. In partnership with the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance and the Arts Administration program at Eastern Michigan Univeristy, UMS will explore their work thus far and take questions from students and emerging professionals at the fifth AAAE-Wallace Foundation Student Forum.
