AAAE is excited to announce Morgan Williams as its first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Research Fellow!
Morgan Williams is a higher education professional and a graduate student studying arts management. She works in the office of Student Life at Drexel and is finishing her final year in Drexel's Arts Administration program. Morgan begins her tenure as AAAE DEI Research Fellow in the Spring Semester, under the direction of supervising mentor and AAAE Member, Antonio C. Cuyler (Associate Chair, Associate Professor of Arts Administration, & Coordinator of the MA program at Florida State University). Morgan's work with AAAE will focus on researching current arts management programs across the United States, in partnership with the AAAE DEI Task Force. To this end, Morgan will conduct a preliminary analysis of teaching and learning resources related to DEI, construct a DEI annontated bibliography, and collect standard bearing agendas, practices, and statements from these US-based programs. The culmination of Morgan's work will be the development of a publication(s) highlighting the research and information gathered on the intersection of arts management education and DEI. Morgan's findings will also be presented at the Spring 2019 AAAE Members Meeting in connection to the annual AAAE Conference in Madison, WI.
Please join us in welcoming Morgan to AAAE!
